Similarities and differences of cardiovascular complications of COVID-19 infection and COVID-19 vaccination

COVID-19 patients may experience with a wide range of cardiovascular complications during infection: obstructive and non-obstructive coronary artery disease-acute syndrome (myocardial infarction type 1 2), arterial or venous thromboembolic diseases, myocarditis, pericarditis, pericardial effusion, stress cardiomyopathy (Takotsubo syndrome), arrhythmias, acute heart failure, shock sudden cardiac death (cardiac arrest). Cardiovascular that occur after vaccination are: events, hypertension, syndrome, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias arrest. Myocarditis pericarditis occurred in 3/4 all cases the second dose mRNA vaccine against SARS-COV2 virus, most often young adults. Vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) is rare condition occurs SARS-COV2, more prevalently women (under 50 years age). The incidence myocardial 0.02% 0.03% depending on (Pfizer Moderna), common males elderly, symptoms onset frequently up to 24 hours application. are sinus tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia. benefit-risk ratio occurrence strongly prevails favor vaccines for age groups (older than 12 years) both sexes.
